Frequency converters are designed to change the speed of rotation of the shaft of an asynchronous electric motor manually or automatically, by converting the input voltage into a pulsed output voltage with a frequency from 0.1 to 600 Hz. Frequency regulation of asynchronous motors allows you to change the direction of rotation by inverting the voltage by pulse width modulation. In addition, these devices provide smooth start and braking of asynchronous electric motors.
